Lawton Connect innovates with scratch off ink


On an HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press, using Silver and Premium White easy release specialty inks, with Duplo finishing on NeoStar 12pt paper, Lawton Connect created an BC Root Beer metallic scratch of bottle cap that looked almost 3D. The result was a very realistic scratch off that pops.

The book needed to be exciting, feel personal and reflect the theme of “glow in the dark.” Hemlock used variable printed covers, a neon illustrations of the teen with invisible ink that revealed hidden illustrations and messages.
